How to set up and email account in Microsoft Windows Outlook version XP.

 

Choose "Tools" from the drop down menu, and click on "E-Mail Accounts"

 

Click on "Add a new e-mail account" and then click "Next"

 

Click on "POP3" and then click "Next"

 

 

This is the part where you enter in all your information about your email account.

"Your Name:" - Enter in your Name that you want on this account.

"E-Mail Address:" - Enter in your email address

"Incoming mail server (POP3)" - Enter in mail.yourdomainname.com

"Outgoing mail server (SMTP)" - Enter in mail.yourdomainname.com

"User Name:" - Enter in your username, example   john@yourdomainname.com

"User Password:" - Enter in your password

Click on "Remember password" if you would like for windows to automatically enter your password in for you.

Click on "More Settings"

 

Then click on "Outgoing Server"

Then check "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.

Then check "Use same settings as my incoming mail server"

          

 

Click on "Finish" and your done.
